More Info - Homonyms Card Game

Devised by a primary-school teacher and dyslexia specialist this series of card games is ideal to help you learn some of the trickier aspects of English grammar, many of which pose a challenge even to adults!

Easy for small groups or a pair of children to play, this card game uses fun illustrations to teach words with the same sound but different meanings and spellings.

Play the game by dealing out five cards to each player and using a pick up and discard method to find pairs of cards (shown on the How to play card) or spread the cards out to find a pair or play snap.

These words that sound the same can be easily muddled, but use this game and there will be no more confusion!

Find the homonyms e.g. fur / fir, sale / sail, peace / piece.

Most of all just have fun with these colourful, high quality cards and if you are looking for an accessory to the game look at our range of booklets to accompany the series (e.g. A Guide to Homonyms) which include the list of pairs from the cards plus an extra 25 more pairs of words.
