Maths made easy

Maths made easy games, worksheets or books are teaching resources that show and explain maths topics in a simple, clear way for children to understand easily. Some children have a fear of numbers and maths (in severe cases this is called Dyscalculia) and maths made easy resources which set out topics and concepts as clearly and simply as possible are useful learning materials to use with children who are struggling with maths at Primary or Secondary level.

Games that show maths made easy are best if they concentrate on a single topic area such as simple addition or money handling and use a fun format within which that topic can be practised repeatedly. Playing games is a non-threatening way for many children who have been struggling with maths at key stage 1 or 2 to return to topics that they previously found confusing. For maths made easy at home, parents can help their children by using objects at home to demonstrate with. For example, use real coins to help with money sums, counters or household objects to help with addition, subtraction, division or multiplication, a clock with moveable hands to help with telling the time.

There are also many maths made easy books or games that make maths easy available in the shops and through educational catalogues. Just ten minutes a day of easy maths games or easy maths worksheets can help a lot to improve a child’s maths skills at home and boost their confidence in the area at school.
